Eskimo Samurai Tutorial

Though I would share a bit of my process for shape exploration. I like to draw on paper and just vary a few shapes based on photo reference. Finding things like patterns, texture, and overall big shapes through photos of people or things is incredibly helpful to me. This process introduces tone and allows me to clean up those basic big shapes and start playing with the texture and patterns as well.

The step after this is turning the design and then doing a page of poses with one or two of the standouts.
